So the response to showing my cover process seems to have gone over well so I thought I'd do more! (that and I can post without having to draw anything new ) This was the first cover I did to kick off my Legion run. Needless to say it was very daunting. So many characters and I have never done a team book before so I was bit unsure of myself. But it was a LOT of fun! Brings me closer to what I loved to draw when I was a kid and that was super heroes, and I definitely got what I asked for! Inks by Livesay awesome as usual. I worked with him years ago, actually on my first project for Top Cow so it was kinda full circle to be doing my first work at DC with him. Colors by long time friend and collaborator Brian Buccellato, I love working with him and it was a shame that we were unable to do the book together but it was fun having him color the first few covers of the book.
very nice, it must have been a lil frustrrating with all the characters but i can definetly see how it would be fun. love the planets in the back ground as well as the crater their on. Your characters are very powerful and show tons of personality. amazing pencils. may i ask how long it took you to finish this? i should suspect it took you an amazingly short amount of time. haha
Very cool stuff. Thanks a lot for posting these too man, it's always great to see someone's progress through a piece and the step between the sketch and pencil stages here are great.
